Alpaca is considered a luxury fiber because less alpaca is produced each year than cashmere, angora rabbit or mohair. Alpaca wool combines unique properties like softness, luster, lightness, durability and warmth. No other animal has fiber that matches all these attributes. Note that these are large shawls, not one of the typically smaller scarves. We have a large variety of colors available in beatiful and unique shades. Exact sizes vary somewhat but each shawl measures approximately 31 inches wide and 65 inches long plus the crocheted fringe at each end.
