Alpaca is considered one of the worlds few luxury fibers due to its unique properties of softness, luster, lightness, durability, & warmth. No other animal fiber combines ALL of these properties. Alpaca is also considered a specialty fiber as less alpaca fiber is produced each year than cashmere, angora rabbit, or mohair.

I think of this as a hoody sweater more than a jacket. The material is similiar to the sweaters I've bought here. I was expecting something a little heftier. I'm not the least bit disappointed, though. The hoodie, as expected, is warm, beautiful with all the good qualities of the other items I've bought from here which now includes hats, sweaters, blankets, and now this hoody.
